Never not working.

We’ve always put a lot of effort and time into our lookbooks to make sure the results are up to par. This time around, we took a drive out to an undisclosed location and shot at a scene that perfectly complemented our summer drop, ‘The Drought’. This was a last minute run and the shoot was completed in about an hour with our schedules very hectic. The important thing is that we eventually got the lookbook out. On a last note, we are already preparing the release of our Fall 2010 collection, which should hit retailers within two weeks.

We learn of the second guy who permanently puts a mark of our brand on themselves. The last one was a local skateboarder who inked up “Le Unstoppable Homme” on their arm. This time we have the Victory logo taken straight from the “Thirty-three Threes” tee included in our Chapter III / Spring10 collection. Nonetheless, we think this was nicely done.

UNSTOPPABLE

Agenda was just last weekend and IM King did it big once again with their annual Black Out Party with Power 106’s DJ Vick ONE. The photos are pretty self explanatory. Here are some shots I got before, well lets say…. I just put the camera down before things got too crazy.

Long Beach’s Rainbow Harbor boasts of a world-class aquarium, the historic Queen Mary and soon, Red Bull Flugtag!!! This outrageous flying competition will fill the Southern California skies with the brave, creative and just plain crazy as they attempt to fly their human-powered flying machines over these coastal waters.

Red Bull Flugtag challenges the brave and brainy to design, build and pilot homemade flying machines off a 30-foot high flight deck in hopes of soaring into the wild blue yonder…or often, plunging into the waters below. Flugtag, which means “flying day” in German, pushes the envelope of human-powered flight, but competitors need more than airtime to reach the podium. Teams are judged on three criteria: flight distance, creativity of the craft, and showmanship. This criteria has inspired flying tacos, prehistoric pterodactyls, winnebagos with wings and even Snoopy and the gang to grace the Flugtag flight decks! And after a year with no Red Bull Flugtags in the US, 2010 promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The crowd has spoken! This summer wouldn’t be complete without a Red Bull Flugtag event on the West Coast, so on August 21st, Red Bull Flugtag will splash land in Southern California. Specifically, Long Beach’s Rainbow Harbor. Flying machines will swarm the skies above these coastal waters in hopes of achieving human-powered flight, and with such close proximity to stars of Hollywood, we’re sure to see some memorable performances.

Since the first Red Bull Flugtag took place in Vienna, Austria, in 1991, more than 40 Flugtags have been held around the globe, attracting up to 300,000 spectators for a single event. The record for the farthest flight-to-date currently stands at 195 feet and was set at Red Bull Flugtag Austria in 2000. A new U.S. record was set in 2007 at Red Bull Flugtag Nashville when a flying banjo flew 155 feet!

Our Summer 2010 drop is finally shipping to our retailers. It will also hit our online shop within two weeks. Along with a few more summer exclusives for August, we consider this line more of a ‘pre-fall’ delivery as we already have the Fall line scheduled for an early September release . Stay tuned as there are a handful of great things to come.

It’s summertime and we will soon be on the road en route to Arizona. We wanted to truly feel the essence of summer so what better place to go than AZ for that super heated weather. The people at NWC were good enough to organize this promotional Summer10 launch event for ‘The Drought’. Make sure you come out Saturday and Sunday on the day of July 17-18 for the celebration (even if it means driving from LA, thanks).

This Saturday, head out to the Southbay and hit up LAX to JFK’s summer kick-off event. LAXtoJFK celebrated their grand opening about four months ago and the store is already generating a lot of buzz.
